Guardian General Insurance Limited is a subsidiary of Guardian Holdings Limited, a publically traded company in Trinidad and Tobago. Guardian General Insurance Limited is rated A-Excellent by A.M. Best. A.M. Best Company is the foremost rating agency specialized in analysing the financial strength of insurance companies. For yet another year, Guardian General Insurance Limited (GGIL) has been affirmed with the financial strength rating (FSR) of A- (Excellent) and has an excellent track record of claims management after major catastrophes such as Hurricane Ivan.
Guardian General Insurance Limited in Belize
On January 1, 1987, Guardian General Insurance Ltd (GGIL) commenced operations in Belize trading under the name N.E.M (West Indies) Insurance Ltd (NEMWIL) with Agency representation from Victor L. Bryant & Company Ltd until 2010. In August 2008, GGIL expanded its operations in Belize with Balderamos Insurance Services (Belize) Ltd (BIS) which is owned by Mr. Eddie Balderamos. We have now added Simpson’s Insurance Agency to our family of Agents.
GGIL has been an active player in the Belize Market for over three decades, with authorization to transact all major lines of P&C Insurance business. GGIL continues to make substantial strides in this market in with growing market presence and goodwill.
GGIL’s strategies for 2016 are directed towards distinguishing the Company and its offerings from that of the local competitors, with the full support of the Company’s new agent Simpson’s Insurance Agency Ltd. GGIL will also lend focus to other avenues for potential growth, through its human capital by investing in technical development/ training /education.
GGIL’s additional investments in Belize aim towards creating a renewed footprint within this market. These investments will be heavily geared towards advertising campaigns, customer education and client relations in efforts to promote enhanced brand awareness and client confidence.
